Ingredients
1 XL bag of leaf lettuce
1 bunch green onions, sliced
8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1/2 cup reserved bacon grease
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup water
7 tablespoons sugar
1 pinch salt (to taste)
4 dashes black pepper (to taste)
Preparation
Cook bacon till crisp. Drain and crumble. Reserve bacon grease
If bacon grease doesn’t add up to 1/2 cup, add enough cooking or avocado oil to equal 1/2 cup
Dissolve sugar in vinegar. Add water and salt and pepper to taste.
Add vinegar mix to bacon grease and bring to a boil. Boil and reduce by about half.
Pour hot dressing over lettuce. Add bacon and green onions and toss.
