Ingredients

2 cloves garlic clove

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cups plum tomatoes, crushed

1/2 cup basil leaves, chopped fine

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon Pecorino Romano cheese, grated

4 tablespoons heavy cream

1/4 teaspoon Fresh ground Pepper

1 medium onion, chopped

Preparation

Saute onion in 1 tbsp. olive oil until softened.

Add crushed garlic cloves and sauté until softened. Do not burn.

Add crushed tomatoes, basil and salt and simmer for 20 minutes

Turn off heat. If using cream add cream. Add pecorino cheese and pepper. More cheese can be added when serving.
