If you haven’t heard by now Starbucks released 2 new drinks this week. The Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso and the Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken espresso. I tried the Brown Sugar Oatmilk drink and the taste reminded me of a snickerdoodle or cinnamon roll. The pic above is pretty much what the drink looks like when it’s all mixed together. Some people on the Internet were complaining that $6.00 is a lot for this drink (and I kind of agree with that). It can be easily made at home if you have all the proper equipment and ingredients to make it.  My whole life I never liked coffee and I was never a Starbucks fan until the year 2020.  In 2020 I became really addicted to Starbucks and Tiktok. Probably because of all the other Starbucks fans on Tiktok.  A lot of the videos I watch on that app, people always have a Starbucks drink in their hand.

What Espresso machine do I use?

I have a Nepresso Pixie machine and purchased the Starbucks pods. The Blonde Espresso roast is one of the pod flavors. Just brew 2 shots of that and shake it up with some brown sugar (as little or as much as you like) and pour some Oatmilk over the espresso.

Ingredients for Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso

Espresso - I used the Blonde Roast pods.  Oatmilk - Any type of milk will work but Starbucks uses the Oatly brand. Purchase something similar here. Cinnaomon - Don’t need much just a sprinkle of it on top.

How to make Brown Sugar Oatmilk Espresso

For the full recipe, please see the recipe card below.  Brew 2 shots of Starbucks Blonde espresso roast using an espresso machine. Add the espresso to a mason jar with ice and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Place the lid on the jar and shake jar.  Pour the espresso in a glass and add in the oatmilk. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top and serve cold.
