If you are looking for the ultimate grilled chicken thigh recipe you don’t need to look anymore because this is it! These chicken thighs are tossed with a spicy seasoning and then sweetened with some honey on the side. I posted this recipe back in 2010 and still make this recipe today. (Post updated in 2019 with new pictures) It is so simple. Mix seasonings in with chicken thighs. Toss. Grill, Brush with honey. So good and so easy. You can serve this recipe with some grilled asparagus to keep it low carb or serve it with some quinoa and rice. The honey caramelizes the chicken so nicely. The recipe calls to broil the chicken but I always grill mine in the Summertime. I preheat my grill to medium-high heat and place the chicken on the grill for 5 minutes at first. Set a timer on your phone to keep track and then brush the thighs with the honey. Flip and cook the chicken for only 3 minutes. It doesn’t take long because the chicken is being cooked at high heat.

2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon ground red pepper 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs or chicken breasts Cooking spray 6 tablespoons honey 2 teaspoons cider vinegar

How to make Spicy Honey Chicken Thighs

Preheat broiler. If grilling follow my instructions above. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Add chicken to bowl; toss to coat. Place chicken on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Broil chicken 5 minutes on each side. Combine honey and vinegar in a small bowl, stirring well. Remove chicken from oven; brush ¼ cup honey mixture on chicken. Broil 1 minute. Remove chicken from oven and turn over. Brush chicken with remaining honey mixture. Broil 1 additional minute or until chicken is done.
