Ingredients

1.5 pounds veggies

1 cup vinegar

1.5 tablespoons pickling/canning or kosher salt

1 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

3 cloves garlic cloves (sliced or smashed)

2 teaspoons dill seed, celery seed, or other spices

Preparation

Boil ingredients for 5 minutes to dissolve sugar and salt

Pour over veggies

Process for 10 minutes

Turn off heat, let rest in pot 10 minutes

Let sit undisturbed for 12-24 hours and then check for seal
