Ingredients

1 cup salted butter, room temperature

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups AP flour

1 cup quick oats

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup salted caramel chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F

In a bowl and using electric mixer, beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla.

In another bowl and using a wooden spoon, stir together flour, oats and baking soda; stir into butter mixture until just blended. Stir in chips.

Roll dough into balls 4cm in diameter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 5cm apart.

One sheet at a time, bake in the centre of the oven for 12-14 minutes or until just golden. Let cool on cookie sheet 1 minute, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
