Ingredients

36 ounces Bruce’s Yams

1 1/4 sticks butter

1 egg

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup walnuts

1/3 cup brown sugar

3/4 stick butter

3 sticks Ritz crackers

Preparation

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Crush/grind walnuts and Ritz crackers until somewhere between crumbled and powdered.

Mash base ingredients (yams, 1 1/4 stick butter, egg, sugar) together and place in lightweight metal pan.

Mix walnuts, brown sugar, Ritz crackers, 3/4 stick butter together until clumps of butter are pea-sized to make topping.

Spread topping over base in pan. Press lightly to compact it a little.
