Ingredients
1 box white cake mix
1 box instant lemon pudding
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 cup orange juice
1 jar poppy seeds
1 whole orange rind
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon orange rind
1/2 cup water
1/2 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
Preparation
Mix cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs, orange juice, poppy seeds and all but 1 T orange rind. Prepare poppy seeds by putting them into a blender with 1/4 cup orange juice to bruise the seeds before adding to the cake mix. Pour mixture into well-greased and floured angel food cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 minutes. Poke holes in cake and add Grand Marnier or Triple Sec. Mix sugar, 1 T orange rind, water, butter, adn Grand Marnier or Triple Sec. Cook glaze until it’s bubbly but not hard. Spoon over the cooled pound cake.
