Ingredients

1 whole salmon fillet

1 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

1 tablespoon onion, minced dried

1/2 teaspoon ginger powder

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preparation

Marinate whole fresh salmon fillet all day or at least 6 hours in refrigerator. Remove from marinade (save liquid), and cook over hot coals with smoke lid closed for 5 minutes on each side (or bake in 400 degree oven 12-20 minutes. Boil marinade down about 5 minutes or more to use as a sauce.
