Ingredients

2 tablespoons tallow, olive or avocado oil

2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1/8-inch X 3-inch strips

2 green pepper, sliced

4 tomatoes, small quartered

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 dash pepper

2 tablespoons dried onion, minced

2 cloves garlic

2 cups bouillon

4 tablespoons cornstarch

4 tablespoons soy sauce

1/2 cup water

6 cups boiled rice

Preparation

  1. Heat tallow (or oil) in a heavy skillet.

  2. Add meat, salt, pepper, onion, and garlic - cook over moderately high heat, stirring constantly, until meat has browned.

  3. Add bouillon and green peppers - cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

  4. Add tomatoes and cook one minute longer.

  5. Blend together cornstarch, soy sauce and water - add to skillet and cook 3-4 minutes longer, stirring constantly until mixture is hot and sauce has thickened.

  6. Serve at once over hot rice.
