Ingredients

1 baguette, cut crosswise on the diagonal into about 1/3-inch-thick slices 

1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil 

Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper 

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange bread on a rimmed baking sheet. Brush tops generously with oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake until edges are golden, about 10 minutes. Let cool on sheet on a wire rack.
