Ingredients

1 cup mashed potatoes, tepid

1/2 cup lard

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon yeast

1/2 cup tepid water

1/4 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1 cup milk, scalded and cooled

2 eggs

Preparation

Mix these ingredients. Let stand for 2 hours. Add 5 cups flour. Let stand for 2 more hours. Roll out and bake at 350 degrees.

Variation: Flat Miniature Cinnamon Rolls–Make up regular egg rolls, roll out very thin. Cover with melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Roll up with cinnamon sugar mixture inside. Cut or slice roll in inch slices. In the pan, melt butter and sprinkle with sugar adn cinnamon. Place rolls on pan. Don’t let rise too long–bake at 350 degrees till firm.
