Ingredients
6 Granny Smith or Rambo apples
1 quart Water
1 cup sugar
Preparation
Wash apples. Core and quarter apples. Put apples into a large pan and add approximately 1 1/2 inches water. Cook on medium heat until the apples are soft. Remove from pan and push through a food mill. Return applesauce to pan, add sugar to taste, and heat until sugar is dissolved. Chill before serving.
