Ingredients

3 pounds Potatoes

1/2 clove Garlic

1/2 cube Butter

1 cup Milk

Preparation

Prepare potatoes. If using small Yukon Gold potatoes, clean,If using bakers, clean and dice into small 1 inch pieces. Put in pot.

Prepare Garlic. Use your own judgement on amount according to your taste. Put in pot with potatoes.

Cover potatoes and garlic with water and bring to a boil, then lower heat to maintain simmer for for 20 minutes. Test potatoes with a knife to determine if they are done.

Melt Butter and combine with Milk for final combination wit cooked potatoes. Keep warm.

Bring potatoes and garlic off the burner and pour off the remaining water.

Mash potato garlic mixture to the consistency you are happy with. You can use a machine or do it by hand.

Combine warm butter and milk mixture with mashed potatoes, using as much of the liquid as you feel appropriate to achieve a smooth result.

Serve!
