Last year for my Birthday I got one of those pint size Dash ice cream makers and finally decided to use it today (a year later). I tested this ice cream recipe with it and it worked fine but you have to do it smaller batches. The ice cream ingredients were very similar to this one on here but with different milk and heavy cream ratios. It is a basic vanilla ice cream recipe so you can flavor it however you like. Plus, it’s eggless for those who have allergies!  If you’re curious about the Dash ice cream maker, definitely get it. It’s worth it if you don’t want to make a gallon worth of ice cream and it helps with portion control. You can also make sorbet and frozen yogurt with this appliance.  Store the ice cream in a bread loaf pan or a plastic storage container after making it.

Ingredients for Ice Cream

Whole Milk  - If you can afford it, get organic whole milk. Aldi sells a pretty reasonably priced version for less than 3.50. If you are allergic to milk use a milk substitute that you can tolerate.  Heavy Cream - I always use large pasteurized eggs.   Sugar -  For sweetness. Adjust the amount used if necessary. I have not tested this recipe with sugar substitutes.  Vanilla - Use a real vanilla extract or vanilla bean pods
