Ingredients
3 tablespoons Olive Oil
1/4 Chopped onion
3 cloves Garlic
1 Bay Leaf
1/8 cup Chopped Parsley
1 pound Italian Sausage - remove from skin
1 pound Sirloin
1 pound Pasta
medium can Tomato Paste
2 cans Tomato Sauce - 2 medium cans or 6 medium
4 ounces Red wine
1 teaspoon Sugar
Preparation
In a large pot, Heat 2 TBS oil, chopped onion and 3 cloves garlic until brown.
Items will cook quickly
Add 1/2 can tomato paste and 1/2 can of water
Keep stirring - will cook quickly
Add 1/2 can red wine
Add sugar and stir
Add tomato sauce and equal amount in water (2 cans of sauce and 2 cans of water)
Cook on medium flame, stirring frequently until it boils
Once it boils, remove one glove of garlic
Throw in parsley
Let simmer for 45 minutes with lid partially on letting air get into pot.
In a frying pan, saute garlic, olive oil and bay leave. Simmer and add sausage. Cook and drain and add to sauce for approximately 1 hour≥
Cut sirloin into thin cubes, drain and add to sauce. Important to drain all meat before adding to sauce.
If making pasta Figoli, add chopped pepperoni to sauce
Cook noodles, drain and add a little olive oil so noodles don’t stick
For pasta dish, put sauce on bottom of bowl, add noodles and add sauce on top and mix.
