Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Red lentils
7 cups Water or veggie broth
1/4 cup Butter
2 teaspoons Coriander and chili powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Ground cardamom or allspice
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
1 tablespoon Honey
1 tablespoon Pepitas
Preparation
Combine lentils and broth or water, bring to a boil and then simmer for 25 min. or till soft.
Melt butter and add spices. Cook for 30 seconds or till fragrant. Stir in the honey and then scrape the mixture in to the lentils and stir to combine.
