Chocolate Cherry Smoothie - If you’re a chocolate and cherry lover you are going to love this smoothie!  Last week  I bought at least 8 pounds of cherries. There’s usually 2 pounds in a bag at the store and there was a sale going on last week for 1.79 a pound.  I took my cherry pitter and pitted them all and then froze them. To freeze cherries, just set the pitted cherries on a sheet tray and place them in the freezer for an hour. After the hour is up you can put them in a storage bag. Frozen cherries are great for smoothies and I’ve been making this smoothie for the last 5 days in a row now. I’ve discovered chocolate almond milk and that is also great for smoothies too. To make this smoothie take one banana, 1 cup of frozen cherries, ½ cup of chocolate almond milk and 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder of choice and just blend away until smooth.
