Ingredients

8 slices white bread. crust removed and cubed

3/4 pound sharp cheddar cheese. grated

6 eggs. slightly beaten

3 cups milk

3/4 teaspoon mustard. dry

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 dash cayenne

Preparation

In a buttered casserole, alternate layers of bread cubes and cheese. Combine all other ingredients and pour over bread and cheese. Let set 3 or 4 hours or overnight in a refrigerator. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
