This honey walnut shrimp recipe just got a makeover for the air fryer. If you’ve never had honey walnut shrimp before it’s a crispy deep fried shrimp tossed in a sweet honey sauce and it gets served with candied walnuts. Panda Express has a really good version of it. I usually get that with some Orange Chicken or Beef and Broccoli. Make this dish in under 20 minutes by using one of that 90-second microwave Jasmine Rice, Basmati Rice, or brown rice if you want more fiber. Been loving those lately.
Shrimp
The shrimp gets coated in a tempura batter. Tempura is a batter made of eggs, flour, and water. Cornstarch is often used instead of flour. I didn’t want to use regular panko bread crumbs for the shrimp coating because that isn’t how Panda Express makes their version.
